Looking for screen-free activities for kids that spark creativity and keep them engaged?
From May 15 to July 14, 2026, families will have a new reason to get out of the house for a creative family activity.
Santoki is launching a nationwide LEGO MOC Clock Contest at participating Bricks & Minifigs® franchise locations in the U.S., inviting all ages to show their creativity for a chance to win a $550 Bricks & Minifigs gift card and other prizes.
What is the LEGO MOC Clock Contest?
A nationwide LEGO building contest where families customize a LEGO MOC Clock and submit a photo for a chance to win prizes at participating Bricks & Minifigs stores.
This is more than a LEGO build contest. It's a simple solution to a very real parenting challenge: what to do when boredom hits and screens take over.
Why This Works
LEGO continues to see strong engagement across kids and adults, driven by creativity and hands-on play experiences.
When you build, you stay focused longer, think creatively and feel proud of what you've made. LEGO play has lasting appeal across ages, driven by creativity and hands-on engagement.
The twist? You're designing a functional clock.
What is a LEGO MOC Clock?
Designed and scaled to work seamlessly within the LEGO system, this 9.5" x 9.5" clock features genuine LEGO building plates, letting you customize your timepiece with LEGO bricks and minifigures.
Fans of all ages can personalize the clock face to match their favorite themes, then easily rebuild it to reflect new ones. With quartz movement and smooth sweeping hands, this clock offers both playful creativity and precision timekeeping. Perfect for walls, tables, and bookshelves at home, in the classroom, or in the office.
The customizable LEGO MOC Clock is available for purchase at Bricks & Minifigs and LEGO Store locations.
Why Families Love It
- Build, Display & Rebuild: Personalize your clock to reflect your favorite themes, characters or colors, then rebuild anytime for a fresh look.
- Functional Timepiece: A real working clock that blends creativity with everyday use.
- Perfect for All Ages: Engaging for kids and nostalgic for adults.
- Display Options: Sized at 9.5" x 9.5" for walls, desks or shelves.
- Endlessly Customizable: Use your own LEGO bricks and minifigures to make it completely your own.

How Entries Are Judged
Here is where creativity meets competition:

- Creativity
- Functionality
- Overall LEGO clock content
- The top 10 finalists will be selected and move on to the public voting stage, allowing the LEGO community to help determine the winners.
- Public voting will take place from August 1 – 14, 2026, with voting links and instructions being posted on Santoki's Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Get Inspired Before You Build
Not sure where to start? That's part of the fun.
- Watch and Learn: LEGO fans can gain inspiration from this video, showcasing different ways to design and customize their LEGO MOC Clock.
-
Explore What Others Are Creating: Participants are encouraged to share their creations on social media using the #SantokiMOCClock. Browsing the hashtag is one of the easiest ways to:
- Discover new build ideas
- See creative techniques in action
- Find themes and styles you may not have considered.
- Build on Ideas, Then Make It Your Own: The best builds often start with inspiration and evolve into something unique. Use what you see as a starting point, then add your own twist.
This is where the contest becomes bigger than a single entry. It becomes a shared creative experience fueled by the LEGO community.
The Bigger Trend: Personalized Play
Families are shifting toward activities that combine creativity, self-expression, and real-world use.
The LEGO MOC Clock taps into all three:
- Kids express their personality
- Parents encourage hands-on play
- Everyone creates something that lasts beyond the moment
It's not just play. It's play with purpose.
